Lenovo owned Motorola Mobility is likely to launch its costliest smartphone, the Moto Maxx in India soon. The device like other Motorola handsets will be sold exclusively via online retailer Flipkart.
Flipkart has taken to its official Twitter handle to tease the same with the tagline, "There's a Moto beast coming your way."
The Moto Maxx sports a highly durable ballistic nylon and comes with an additional layer of DuPont Kevlar fiber under it that is touted to be five times stronger than steel. Additionally, the smartphone comes with water-repellent nano-coating and Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The Moto Maxx features a 5.2-inch QHD display (1440x2560 pixels). It is powered by a 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 CPU coupled with 3GB of RAM.
It sports a 21MP rear autofocus camera with dual-LED flash, along with a 2MP front-facing snapper. Connectivity options include: 4G LTE with LTE Cat 4, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, and GSM/ EDGE/ HSPA+. The device runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS
The Moto Maxx is backed by a 3900mAh battery and comes with Motorola's Turbo Charger that the company claims can provide 8 hours of battery life in just 15 minutes of charging.
The Moto Maxx is the global variant of its US exclusive (via Verizon) Droid Turbo handset. It was first launched in Brazil at a price tag of BRL 2,199 (roughly Rs.54,000) for the 64GB model. The smartphone is also available in Mexico.
