Future of Computational: Cognitive Computing

Cognitive computing :

We are going to enter a new period of computing- cognitive computing.

Cognitive computing systems like IBM Watson, are able to think and learn, understand natural language, and interact with humans more naturally.

Cognitive computing is able to solve new kinds of problems. It can also handle problem like human beings.
Cognitive computing makes context computable. They can identify and extract contextual features such as hour, location and tasks.
Cognitive computing redefines the relationship between human and machine's. They can play the role of your coach in daily life. Their output may be suggestive, informative, entertaining.
Cognitive computing is smart enough to make decisions himself for a particular purpose.

The cognitive computing device must be:

Adaptive :
They must learn from the information. And make changes for the goal.
They must be engineered to take action in real time.

Interactive :
They must interact with a user easily. They must understand user needs. They must interact with other devices and the Internet.

Contextual :
They must understand, identify, and extract Contextual meaning.

This system has their own decision making capabilities. Decisions made by cognitive computing system are information based. These systems can discover insights that could not be discovered by humans.

They help humans to make better decisions by penetrating the complexity of problems.

Slow computer!! ways to make it run faster

Install a solid state drive
Hard drives are the biggest cause of slow speeds and especially slow startup speeds on your PC.
installing a solid state drive, which have extremely fast read times.

More hard drive storage

Even if you make sure to regularly clean out all your temporarily files, if your hard drive becomes 85 per cent full, it’s going to affect your computer’s speed.install a bigger hard drive (1 or 2 tb).

More RAM

A clear indicator of not having enough RAM is if your computer slows down every time you try and process large files, or it freezes will carrying out several different actions at once.practical terms 4GB is more than enough for most people.

Run a disk defragment

Go to “My Computer”, right-click on the hard drive and select “Properties”. Under the “Tools” tab there should be an option to “Defragment Now”.

Run disk clean up

Open Disk Cleanup by clicking “Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup”.

Hoovering out the dust

dust is your computer’s enemy. It can impede airflow, which is vital to keeping your computer’s temperature down.

Uninstall unused programs

Some programs even run background processes when you load your computer, even though you are not using them.
To remove all these pointless programs, open the Control Panel’s Programs and Features page, and have a trawl through the list of installed software. Uninstall those that you do not need.
Automatically delete temporary files
To do this, open “My Computer”, and select your local drive (usually C:\). Select the “Windows” folder and then open the folder titled “Temp”.

Prevent unnecessary start ups

To do this, click “Start” and “Run”. In “Run”, type “msconfig” and then press enter. You should then see the “Startup” tab, with all the programs ticked the ones which will load upon your computer starting up.
